Over the summers of 2021 and 2022, I was able to help record/assist Jeremy Lin in his training as he prepared for his seasons in China. My tasks consisted of recording his workouts, handling the shipping of merchandise, and occasionally rebounding and defending Jeremy during practice. I would record individual workouts and pickup games, which he would later analyze the film for and publish highlights on his Instagram. Jeremy’s pickup games often featured other NBA coaches (Aaron Miles), well-known NBA photographers (@jsquared), and other NBA players (Jordan Poole), and I learned the importance of passion and dedication to achieve what you want having been surrounded by so many established individuals. 

 

I was also introduced to a large number of marketing strategies within the social media industry, such as the importance of consistency and being up-to-date in a fast-moving world. To maintain his large following in China, he would regularly make posts of trendy topics on Instagram, do workout streams before releasing a new shoe, and actively post on Tik Tok to keep viewership high. 

 

Along with this responsibility, I was also able to handle some of his shipping to high-profile celebrities, such as game-worn shoes, signed NBA finals jerseys, and merchandise. Overall, this experience furthered my professionalism and knack for social media while teaching me what it means to create quality content.
